Accents and Advertisements

Plunging a fresh brew of coffee this morning by the kitchen sink, I overheard Mick Lally's dulcet Mayo accent on the radio, speak lovingly about one of these companies that buy homes from retired people; not like that evil Richard from Coronation Street, who did some some seriously bad PR for the concept.

By all accounts, the accents of Lally and the other Irish actors on the set of Alexander also remained distinctly Irish.

However in the advert - when he gets to the contact number - he descends into pure D4 - "75 75 75". Listen to it the next time you're in the car....
