Being the talent for AIB banner ads must be awfully stressful

Just noticed this on the breakingnews.ie website.

On the AIB banner ad at the top of the page, rollover the dude on the right. he waves briefly, then invites you in. Then in a not so subtle way, you can see that he takes a deep breath and his shoulders sag with the injustice of it all.

So of all of the takes, they had to choose this one? Poor production.

Scissorhands politics

Not very widely reported, but the Fianna Fail heavyweights are giving seminars to invited SME audiences around the country to reassure them on the state of the economy.

If I were Frank Flannery, 'twould be an idea to nip this notion from Cowan & Co that the opposition would not be able to provide the "safe pair of hands" that the economy needs.

This was the Big Bertha that was kept pretty much in the reserve trenches last time around - but I think Cowan will be pretty vicious with it this time.

What part of a continuous white line don't you understand?

Travelling through middle Ireland yesterday - it's hard to put all the blame for road traffic accidents on the lap of young, inexperienced drivers.

On three separate occasions I had to brake and swerve to avoid stupid decisions by other drivers - what part of a continuous white line don't people understand when they are attempting to overtake ?

With last weeks deaths on the roads, I also heard a new statistic being mentioned - that July is the most dangerous month of the year. I've never heard this one before - I don't understand why it is only being mentioned in the context of more fatalities?
